Founded in 1904, Mark T Wendell Tea Company’s logo and packaging had not been updated in years. It was important to our client to keep key elements of the original logo, including the two-headed eagle icon, all while creating an updated package design for the core line of more than 20 tea varieties. For the logo mark, we selected an updated albeit traditional font treatment and changed the size and positioning of the icon so that it was included but not as prominently. For the packaging, we created a tea leaf background in a modern pattern for the bag in gold on black and then developed a broad color palette to support the full line of 20+ teas.
